Services & FAQ'S
BESPOKE: CUSTOM MADE BRIDAL OR BRIDESMAIDS. VISITING ME FOR A BESPOKE DRESS IS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM NOVEMBER 2020 due to a new studio opening in long crendon, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE. HOWEVER PLEASE READ BELOW ON HOW TO START DURING COVID. THE STUDIO WILL BE PREPPED FOR COVID SECURITY WHEN OPENING.
There are two appointments available, a 10 minute free browse or a consultation appointment. Both of these must be booked by filling in the contact form, phone or email. At the consultation appointment we will cover an intimate one on one discussion about how I can help you create your perfect dress and this is over tea, coffee or a Prosecco and it will take about an hour and a half! You will get to see my bridal collection and be able to try on some samples without feeling swamped! We will discuss the styles of wedding dresses available, different designs that I can create and your likes and dislikes. I will show you a range of beautiful fabrics and colours, plus I am able to dip dye so I can make your gown even more personalised to you. I draw three different sketch ideas then we finalise your wedding dress together and this is something you can keep at the end of the consultation.
I am also able to do bespoke embroidery designs. You tell me your idea. I sketch it out for you and then an embroidery sample is put on your wedding dress fabric.
Can brides buy a dress during COVID-19?
I offer a bespoke service for brides Please read my blog on how it works https://www.jessicaturnerdesigns.com/post/the-bride-and-zoom
What happens if I get a bespoke dress made and I don't like it?
Once we have finalised a dress design, I make it in a calico/toile so you can see the shape and fit. I will have samples of your dress fabric too so we can imagine what the outcome will be. If you have any doubts on the dress then we will work out at this point what you don't like and start again. All brides that I have worked with have loved their custom made dress, we work closely together on the step by step process so there is a mutual understanding.
How much does it cost for a bespoke dress?
Prices start at £1,500. However, your dress is very unique, so it depends on the style, the selection of fabrics and if you want any dip dye or embroidery. I can give you an estimated cost at the end of the consultation.
Why do you charge for the Long Crendon Consultation Appointments?
I charge for these appointments because once you have sent me some images of your your dress, I then go and find relevant fabric samples that match your ideas. Some swatches you have to buy and some I go out to find in fabric shops. I also spend an hour, sometimes longer working on your design idea with you, offering bridal styling advice. The £45 will be deducted off the price of a bespoke dress once purchased.
Can I come and see your collection?
There will be a small yet perfectly formed collection ready to view once the studio is open in November. There will be a few couture pieces, bridal separates, one-offs and a small ethical collection.
How much do the dresses cost?
The collection will vary, eco wedding dresses £1,500-£2500, bridal separates will vary depending on what top and skirt is chosen, couture pieces, £2,000-3000
If you are interested in a dip dye service for your bridal dress or separate I will explain the process. At the consultation we will go through colour cards and discuss your ideas. Once we have finalised the colour scheme, and you have decided to purchase one of my outfits I will then do some sample swatches on your wedding dress fabric. The samples will be sent to you and then you can let me know which one you like the best.
I can do a range of colours on one outfit, from one to four colour schemes. The photos are examples of my dip dying. Please book a free 10 minute visit to see my work. This is not a consultation appointment.
