The wedding season is in full swing so this won't be a long blog post. I just thought I would keep you up to date with what I have been up to.
Behind the scenes imagery and photos taken from my phone, so excuse the non professional style but to be honest it is sometimes nice to show the reality!!
The dip dye commissions:
I can't reveal the whole dress as the wedding is not until August. A bride had brought this dress from a boutique and it was all in white and she wanted a blue/silver tone added to the tulle. This was dip dyed with the top of the dress staying white.
My Calla Lily has been popular, and the layers of the skirt are all dip dyed in a pink/beige colour. Below a bride to be trying on the skirt and she has asked for a bespoke top to go with it.
Here is the start of a top that I am making, sometimes I use patterns and then alter the style so it is my unique design. I am using a beautiful soft bamboo silk for the eco-friendly brides. The fabric is extremely soft and smooth, and if you would like to get the feel for yourself then you can order a fabric pack on my Etsy account.
I have a lace beaded wedding dress that I am finalising, and at the moment I am picking out all the beads around the hem so I can sew it together.
Below is the first stage of the fitting, again I can't show much more as the bride is getting married in August.
And finally something exciting to show you, my video, coming soon!!! This will be showing you behind the scenes action of how I work so you will be able to get to know me a little better, and see what I am like and how I work. Hopefully this will break any barriers between us and give you an insight of Jessica Turner Designs.
Have a lovely week.
