Autumn Wedding Inspiration

I would so love to get married again and design an Autumnal Wedding. After collaborating on this styled shoot for the Fine Art Wedding Boutique, I literally was buzzing from the prettiness. So I thought I would share the lovely inspiration again that was seen on Love My Dress not too long ago.

So lets talk dresses as I am the dress designer. So my first initial thought for an autumnal bride is the colour. I was thinking of a taupe but then I thought something softer would look better against the colours of the bouquet so I opted for a soft ivory/peach colour.

To make your wedding dress Autumnal, think of the colours similar to the above three. However, you must discuss with your florist and find out what flowers they will use so they don't clash with your bridal outfit. I think it is nice to go for a softer hue on the dress and go bolder with the flowers. My 'Autumn Joy' dress is available in the above colours, or if you are a more traditional bride, in white or ivory.

The next thing to consider are some pretty textures. Some of you know that I make silk knitted bridal dresses, this might surprise your guests or husband to be, people are not going to believe that you are wearing a knitted bridal dress!! It is so unique and it will also enhance an Autumnal feeling with the raw knitted textures.

Now we can discuss the other aspects of the wedding: the styling, decor, stationary and cakes. I would go with wooden features, autumnal colours and again some autumn props.

Here are some images for you:

These are great ideas all supplied from the Fine Art Wedding Boutique

Some tips and tricks to create the look

Collect autumn foliage, to use in a basket, or for the hair, for centre pieces and use some to decorate the cake.

Use autumn leaves for place settings and do a calligraphy workshop so you can write beautiful place cards onto the leaves or pay someone to do it, hopefully someone from the fabulous credits!

Collect any fruit or vegetables for table decor, apples, pears, pumpkins or conkers.

Use a rough textured paper for wedding stationary or find someone who makes handmade paper, I used to love making this at school and it is so pretty!
