Did everyone see the Metro last Saturday? The London Burlesque festival was at the top for the 10 best things to do in London. It was a privilege to be trading there and selling my corsets. I also got to see a few burlesque performances which wasn't my usual haunt on a Saturday! I am usually at a kid's play park or baking cookies, and changing nappies! However, this was the place where nipple tassels were a must and corsets and underwear were everywhere.

I even wore one of my own creations which I have not done since after having kids. I tried this corset on at home, and my 4 year old daughter said "Mummy, I think you need to wear something underneath it as your "boobles' (her nickname for them!) are hanging out." I have never laughed so much, love her!

I know corsets are slightly daring but I try to add elegant sleeves, and I make them with beautiful silks and laces. I also use a coutil fabric sandwiched in the lining to give them strength. I know they can be a bit pricy with mine starting at £170 for a plain corset but you are buying into a bespoke service, steel boned, and I make them all by myself in my small studio. I promise your corset will be a success and something that you could wear again and again, maybe to a party, a night out or a night in!

I am thinking of starting courses for making your own corset and learning how to embellish them yourself. Is this something you would be keen to do? If so please let me know with a quick HELLO and I will put you on my VIP list with updates and offers. Or follow me on Instagram @jessturnercorsetdesign and I will posting images of what I am up to.

I hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend and lets hope the sun keeps shining.

Love Jess xxx
